Maaseudun Tulevaisuus on food innovations
The Finnish newspaper Maaseudun Tulevaisuus interviewed our CSO and co-founder Reetta Kivelä about the commercialization of food innovations.

"[the Nordic Umami Company] develops umami technology, that provides the savoury flavour, and food products made from food industry waste and side products.

Savoury flavours are needed when meat alternatives are developed. Natural flavours are born by utilising yeast, bacteria and fungus.

Next year the company launches products that are made of the industry by-products. One of these products is a soy sauce alike product that is soon produced in the Kera, Espoo."
