New CEO to the company
The Nordic Umami Company has appointed a new CEO. Kaisa Karhunen has started in her position in January 2023.
Kaisa's main focus is to actualise the company's strategy and enable growth. As we have just finished a seed funding round to scale our umami technology into an industrial-sized pilot plant, Kaisa plays a crucial role in enabling building a full scale pilot plant and build solid foundation for global success. We aim to become the leading sustainable umami manufacturer globally.

How are you? This is Liz, from Social Nest!
I am contacting you because we have launched a Startup Challenge within the framework of The Gap in Between, an international event that aims to connect innovation, business and impact as a means to help solve the most pressing social and environmental challenges. The event, free for all attendees, will take place on October 24 and 25 in Valencia.
The Gap in Between Startup Challenge is a competition designed to give visibility to startups that generate social and/or environmental impact. The contest seeks to become a leading platform for startups like yours to present their solutions to the world. After the closing of the call, 20 startups will be selected to pitch in one of the stages of The Gap in Between. There will be an overall winner, who will receive €10,000, and four finalists recognized for having the best team, the greatest environmental impact, the greatest social impact and the most innovative solution.
