Terms & Conditions
The products are sold by the Nordic Umami Company Ltd. We sell products to private individuals of legal age worldwide. All prices include VAT for countries & areas where applicable. We reserve the right to change prices and shipping costs. The Nordic Umami Company is not responsible for possible customs expenses or other fees that may occur.
Ordering
The products are ordered from www.nordicumami.fi via the shopping cart.
All orders are confirmed by email and include the total price and shipping costs of the products ordered. A correct email address must be provided at the checkout to receive an order confirmation.
The Customer agrees to the terms and conditions when placing an order.
Order confirmation
For all orders placed at www.nordicumami.fi, the Nordic Umami Company will send an order confirmation email which provides:
- the order number
- the shipping address
- product order details such as quantities
- the total price of the order
- the payment method
The Nordic Umami Company reserves the right to cancel an order the Customer placed if a significant mistake is made in the product's pricing. An error like this would be a considerable difference from the regular price or the product's market price, and an average customer could understand that there is a mistake in the price. An example of this will be, for example, if the price of an item is 0,00 EUR.
Payment methods
The products and applicable shipping fees will be paid when placing the order. The following payment methods are accepted: PayPal. Pay Pal terms & conditions are managed by the third party operator PayPal Ltd and by choosing to pay through PayPal, the Customer at www.nordicumami.fi accepts the terms of PayPal. Shipping and delivery
Delivery time
Once confirmed, the shipping time of orders is 4-5 business days in Finland and 4-7 business days worldwide when products are in stock. If products are not in stock and the product page states "coming soon", the order is a pre-order and will be shipped once the products are in stock.
Shipping delays due to the carrier, weekends and holidays may affect delivery time.
The home delivery option in Finland (Posti) delivers the package directly to your home during the next working day after the order is dispatched from our warehouse. If it cannot be delivered (if no one is there to receive the package) the package will be delivered to the nearest pickup point. Remember always to fill in your phone number correctly to receive shipping updates!
Shipping costs
Shipping costs include the cost of shipping & packaging. The shipping costs depend on the order value and the delivery method chosen.

Shipment tracking
Once your order has been shipped, you will receive an email with a tracking code for your package.
Return policy
Following the Consumer Protection Act of Finland, customers have the right to return an item within 14 days of receiving their order. The return right applies only to items in new, unused condition and their original packaging. The Customer is responsible for the return costs.
Before the return shipment, send return notification to shop@nordicumami.fi by email.

We will not accept returns after 14 business days. When the return is received and accepted, a refund will be made to the original payment method. Processing a return may take up to 10-15 working days.
Returned packaging
The Customer should make sure to pick up the package on time so that it is not returned to the Nordic Umami Company. If a parcel is not picked up from the pickup point, the parcel will be returned to us, a refund of the order will be made, and a fee of 10,00€ is deducted from the refund amount. Returned packages will not be re-shipped.
In case the return shipment is lost during transportation, keep the return shipment receipt until you have received the refund. If a parcel is lost during transport, and the Customer cannot deliver proof of the shipment, the Nordic Umami Company is not obligated to make a refund of the items that have not been returned.
Delivery problems and faulty products
If you do not receive your package, if an item was damaged in transport, or if the item ordered is faulty, contact us immediately by email at customerservice@papustories.com. If the package was damaged in transportation, a claim must also be made with the shipping company.
Notifying faulty items must be made within 14 business days of receiving your order.
Other
We reserve the right to change our terms and conditions. Customers should familiarize themselves with the terms and conditions before placing an order.
The Nordic Umami Company handles all customer information confidentially and does not disclose customer information to unnecessary third parties. Customer information is forwarded to a third party according to the terms above, for example, to the payment providers.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed following Finnish law.
